Penny de Valk has been leading human capital organizations in the UK for the past 15 years and in September she was appointed to the position of Chief Executive, Fairplace Cedar. Prior to that, she was CEO of the Institute of Leadership and Management for four years having spent 10 years as a Director for Ceridian, a US based $1.5bn HR services organization where she headed up their employee support business and HR outsourcing and consulting services in the UK. Before joining Ceridian, she was CEO of the Institute of Management in Auckland, New Zealand. With a BA and MBA, she was ranked in the top 30 of HR's most influential thinkers in HR Magazine's Top 100 2010.
Kerwin first worked with Fairplace as an associate in 2007, joining the permanent staff in 2010. As Consultant Director, he is responsible for the capacity, capability and quality of our pool of associates and coaches. He also designs and delivers workshops as well as continuing to provide one to one support for clients. Kerwin has an extensive background as a senior IT executive for a major financial services organisation. As well as responsibility for a large operational area, Kerwin also managed the talent and leadership development programmes. This resulted in Kerwin being trained as one of the senior coaches for the organisation, coaching senior executives and transitioning new managers. With a long background in training and facilitation, Kerwin was regularly sought after to deliver key note speeches and host communication events. His board level experience also resulted in participation in a number of strategic initiatives and projects as a senior sponsor and programme manager.
Kerry Simmons joined the company in 2012 as Head of Marketing. Specialising in B2B HR services marketing, Kerry has spent over 15 years designing, influencing and delivering the marketing, sales, channel and product strategies for HR technology, service and consultancy organisations.
Prior to joining Fairplace Cedar, Sherwyn was the Strategy and Leadership lead in GE Healthcare's 'Performance Solutions' consulting arm. Sherwyn also has 15 years influencing Strategy, Organisation Development, Learning, Talent and Leadership capability development at global, blue-chip organisations including Motorola, Royal Bank of Scotland, Churchill Insurance and Thomson Reuters within the UK and Europe, Middle East and Africa. Sherwyn has been a Visiting Lecturer in Human Resources Management and Advanced Marketing at City University in London.
Mark Sidlin joined the Company in December 2007. He is a chartered accountant with extensive experience in the human resources sector. He was previously Group Finance Director at Penta Consulting Limited and MBA Michael Bailey Associates Plc, both IT and Telecoms recruitment companies. Prior to that he was an audit and IT partner in a City firm of chartered accountants.
Sara Barrie has been leading UK and European sales and marketing teams for the past 15 years and in 2013 was appointed to the position of Director of Business Development. Prior to that, she was Vice President for career and talent management solutions provider Right Management, after having spent 6 years with global HR consultancy DBM Plc.
